Treinta años después regresa a su ciudad en un documental musical y coral que entrelaza su historia con la de cuatro jóvenes que también se llaman María. Una película sobre lo que le cuesta a una mujer convertirse en sí misma.
At seventeen, María Rodríguez boarded a train from Seville to Barcelona and stepped off as La Mala Rodríguez, a pioneer of Spanish-language rap. Thirty years later she returns to her city in a choral music documentary that weaves her story with those of four young women also called María. A film about what it costs a woman to become herself.

The film is built like her songs: raw, rhythmic and uncompromising. And it is held together by the same train that took her from Seville to Barcelona in 1996.

Director francés de Desire: The Carl Craig Story, estrenada mundialmente en el Festival de Tribeca 2024, que llegó a más de 30 salas en Reino Unido y llenó el BFI IMAX de Londres. Ha dirigido y producido nueve largometrajes documentales y es fundador de JCDe Productions, en Brooklyn.
French director of Desire: The Carl Craig Story, which world-premiered at the Tribeca Festival 2024, opened in more than 30 UK cinemas and sold out London's BFI IMAX. He has directed and produced nine feature documentaries and is the founder of JCDe Productions in Brooklyn.
